Tours are given during regular office hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. If you are unable to visit during those times, please submit your dates for consideration.

Activities during the tour
Tours at the Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority typically take about an hour and is made up of 2 main stops and 1 optional stop. Main stops: 1.) Materials Recovery Facility or Recycling Center 2.) Old Dixie Landfill and Convenience Center which also includes an overview of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, Wetlands Mitigation Bank, and Landfill Gas to Energy Project. Optional Stop: 1.) Education Center located at the Materials Recovery Facility is the place for optional activities for students.
Our group would like to tour the following Main Stops: *Tour for both sections is recommended and lasts 1 hour.*
