Section A. Background and deadline
Mortar Board Fellowships are given after a rigorous and competitive process. The Mortar Board National Foundation endeavors to provide a streamlined, yet thought-provoking application process that allows applicants to showcase their accomplishments and plans. Two letters of recommendation must be supplied by faculty or other persons who can speak with authority about the applicants' ability to do graduate work in their chosen field and about their personal qualities and achievement.
The deadline for receipt of all recommendations is March 1, 2017. An application will not be considered if your recommendation is not received on or before this date.
Section B. Instructions for recommendations
The faculty recommender should complete Sections 1-6, initial at Section 6 and click 'submit.'
The Mortar Board Fellowship Selection Committee thanks you for thorough and thoughtful commentary and evaluation as this valuable information adds to the committee’s discernment of a deep pool of applicants.
