Any Mortar Board member may nominate a member for these awards. Self-nominations will be considered. Consolidated nomination efforts are welcomed as these will undoubtedly provide more information about the nominee. As many as three recipients may be selected in each category. Selection committee recommendations are referred to the National Council for final decision and selection. Award recipients will be informed of their selection and invited to attend the Mortar Board National Conference to accept their awards. An award will not be presented in absentia, with the exception of the Distinguished Lifetime Membership Award, whose recipient, if unable to attend, may send a representative in her/his place. Only in a rare circumstance may an award be presented posthumously. A recipient may not receive the same award more than once. Current members of the National Council, section coordinators, trustees, and advisors to collegiate chapters are ineligible.
Nominations are due on or before November 15. Upon confirmation of the nomination the application packet will be sent. The completed application is due on or before December 15.
