• Before we get started:

  • If you cannot keep the dog, it is best to take the dog to a shelter. Someone looking for their lost dog has the best chance of finding them at a local shelter. We are one of the Animal Foundation's Official Rescue Partners and we can pull dogs from the shelter if the family does not claim them and no one else adopts them within a certain number of days. Most labs are adopted out before we have a chance to pull them. We cannot in good conscious take in a stray dog that the owner may be looking for. If we adopt that dog out to another family and the previous owner comes asking for them, that would not be good. If they go to the Animal Foundation and are posted as available for the required time, then we can legally move forward with adopting the dog out to a new family.

Please let us know if you do take the dog to The Animal Foundation, so we can keep an eye on them and pull them if we get openings. The dog would have to go to the shelter first before we can pull him. Thank you for understanding.

The Animal Foundation (LIED) is located at 655 N. Mojave Rd. Las Vegas Nevada 89101. Their phone number is (702) 384 3333

  • Donating to Las Vegas Labrador Rescue:

  • Last year, our average vet bill per dog was over $700. This does not include the care and feeding of dogs while they are in foster care waiting to be adopted.
