  • I've lost my Lab

LVLR does not take in ‘found” Labs, we refer all to Animal Control by law.

If you have lost your Lab, please consider:

    • Listing them on Pawboost, https://www.pawboost.com/report-lost-pet,
    • Listing them on PetcoLove https://petcolove.org/lost/i-lost-a-pet/?step=location,  as well as your local social media.
    • Contact The Animal Foundation, 702-955-5932 and see if your dog has been recovered by them
    • Check with your vet to see if the microchip has been scanned. You can also contact your microchip company and make sure they have the most current contact information if your pet is located.

  • I've found a Lab

Thank you for reaching about a lost Lab in your possession and keeping them safe. Unfortunately, we cannot take ‘lost’ dogs for several reasons:

    • As a 100% volunteer based organization, we have no stand alone facility for dogs to go to, as we use volunteer foster homes to care for our Labs until adoption. Foster Homes are scheduled out weeks in advance, and any Lab going in to a foster home is fully vetted prior to placement.
    • With lost dogs, we have no legal right to detain the dog, treat it medically (spay or neuter, etc.) and place it up for adoption. Any Lab in the care, custody and control of Las Vegas Labrador Rescue has to be legally adoptable.

Additionally, in order for LVLR to maintain the ability to pull from the local shelters, we have to abide by the local laws regarding lost/found dogs.

Our main suggestion is to contact Animal Control, (702) 455-7710, and report the found dog. You can also search your local social media for reports of someone missing the dog, as well as list them on this website https://petcolove.org/lost/i-found-a-pet

The owner is often looking for the dog, and will be searching for it on The Animal Foundation’s website, along with other sites.

We do get a daily list of potential Labs from various shelters when they are legally available, and we watch for Labs that may be suitable for LVLR.
