Gotham seeks committed Christians, active in their local church, willing together to affirm the historic Christian Creeds, and able to commit their time and energy towards building this intentional community of learning and serving for the good of the city and the glory of Christ. While we certainly acknowledge that faith can come with times of doubt for all of us and we welcome that, we do look for a body of people for this program committed to Christ and the tenets of the faith. By joining Gotham, you commit to your faith in Jesus as stated in the historic creed, and we commit to wrestling through doubts with you as needed.
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
I, the undersigned, do hereby affirm that the information I have provided on this application (and all attachments) is true and accurate.
I hereby authorize the Nashville Institute for Faith & Work and any representatives of the Gotham Fellows to make independent inquiry about me to assess my qualifications regarding this program. Furthermore, I understand that Gotham is designed for followers of Christ who desire to be teachable in all areas of life.
I am willing to commit to the time involved in preparation for regular meetings, and to being present at the regularly scheduled meetings.
