Mid-South Cocker Spaniel Rescue is a volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing cocker spaniels that find themselves in shelters. As such, the organization relies on donations and adoption fees in order to operate. The adoption fee for our dogs is $250 unless otherwise noted. All funds received by Mid-South Cocker Spaniel Rescue are used to pay the expenses of pulling the dogs from shelters, vetting/altering them, and providing daily care for them, until they find forever homes of their own.
We do require that all other dogs over the age of 5 months in an adoptive home be spayed/neutered unless they are actively being shown in AKC or UKC conformation. On a case by case basis we may make an exception to this requirement for pets with certain medical issues that make surgery or anesthesia especially dangerous for that dog. These decisions will be made after consultation with the applicant, the applicant's veterinarian and the rescue's veterinarian.
